Step 1: Setting up the proxy

1. Click on the Apple icon in the upper left corner of the screen to open the MAC " System Pre ferences". The System Preferences window will pop up.


2. In the System Preferences window, click the " Network " icon. You will be redirected to the Network Settings window.


3. In the list of network interfaces on the left, select the network you are currently connected to (e.g. Wi-Fi or Ethernet). Click " Advanced..." at the bottom right corner of the window . You will be redirected to the Wi-Fi advanced settings screen.


 4. In the pop-up window, select the " Proxy " tab above. Tick the type of proxy protocol you need to use (HTTP, SOCKS5, etc.), here to HTTP as an example.

 


 5. Under "Web Proxy Server" on the right side of the corresponding proxy type, enter the generated " Proxy Server Address " and " Port Number ". If the previous choice is User Auth & Pass Extraction, you also need to tick the proxy server requires password input, and enter the " sub-user name " and "password" under the User Auth & Pass Extraction .

 

 6. After entering the proxy information, click " OK " in the lower right corner. You will be redirected to the web interface.


7. Then click the " Apply " button in the lower right corner of the network settings window to save the changes.


Step 2: Verify Proxy Settings

  • Check IP: Visit the IP address checking website and make sure the displayed IP address has been changed to the IP address of the proxy server.
  • Test Connection: Visit other websites to make sure you can connect normally.
